Jeffrey Chang, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous.

Dr. Chang grew up in New England and California and enrolled early at the University of California, Berkeley where he completed his undergraduate degree in molecular environmental biology. He traveled back East to Philadelphia to complete a Master’s degree at Drexel University and attend Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. After completing ophthalmology residency at Tufts/New England Eye Center, Dr. Chang subsequently performed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship with the New England Eye Center and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston.

Dr. Chang is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine and is Vice Chair of Ophthalmology at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. He has been an investigator or co-investigator in over 20 national clinical trials and has been chosen as a Boston Magazine Top Doctor every year since 2019. In addition to cheering for Boston’s sports teams, Dr. Chang loves spending time with his wife, two children, and whoodle in New England and beyond.
