I hurt my eye the night before and as a result of the pain I called to see if they could do an emergency visit this morning. The lady on the phone was very polite and told me to go see them right away. When there I was quickly greeted with a smile by miss Best at the front desk. She was very professional and dealt with a very positive attitude toward me and my attitude since I was nervous and in pain. She is definitely good at her job and I wish more people understood when someone is in pain they are not themselves! 😩 I then saw the assistants and then waited for the doctor. Again I was in a-lot of pain and nervous. Dr.Rodman was amazing!😃 I felt like he took the time to listen and understand what my problems were and quickly came up with a plan of care. While examining my eye he was super gentle and that made me feel more at ease and less nervous. He explained everything he was doing. I did not feel rushed during my Visit and feel like I received a great level of quality care. I was checked out by Miss Best and she was again very friendly and scheduled my f/u visit. I would recommend this office to anyone who would ask. I have came here for years now and the staff has always been good but especially today when I needed it most Miss Best and DR Rodman stood out due to their professionalism, knowledge, effectiveness and kindness. I was there for Lasik with Dr. Rodman. I do agree with other reviewers about the wait time. I have had to wait for what I feel is to long for a scheduled appointment, however, I’ve waited in many doctors offices for what I feel is to long for a scheduled appointment. But we don’t know what happens before we get there. Emergencies do occur that we don’t know about. Anyway, that doesn’t take away from my experience with Dr. Rodman and my lasik procedure. He was amazing. I was very nervous and had so much anxiety about having this done. No matter how busy he may have been I felt that he was %100 listening to me and my concerns and answered all my questions. He gave his full attention to me before and after the procedure. He even gives his cell number so you can call him anytime with any questions (even silly ones) after lasik. The procedure itself was done at Boston Lasik and it is over in minutes. His refractive coordinator Kim was extremely thorough with all the information you need and scheduling all your appointments pre procedure and post procedure. They are a great team for Lasik. My eyesight is better than it’s ever been. I’ve had glasses and/or contacts my whole life, I don’t remember not needing them and now I can see so crisp and clearly it’s crazy! I still look for my glasses in the morning. My only regret is I didn’t get this done 10 years ago. Thank you Dr. Rodman and Kim for helping make this a very easy decision.

I had cataract surgery on April 29, 2021 with Dr. Rodman. It was a great experience! The procedure was done efficiently and professionally. I was relaxed and suffered no anxiety which I find I have with just about any medical procedure. Not this time! I highly recommend Dr Rodman for this procedure. I just came from my 2nd follow up and I have 20/20 vision in that eye! So happy! I am now booking the cataract procedure for my other eye! Thank you!

Dr Rodman performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes, and it went extremely well from beginning to end. He explains things well, describes what he’s going to do and is doing, weighs alternatives in a reasonable way. He has a quiet and calm demeanor but is not at all aloof. The surgery was my first in over 30 years and I had some anxiety about it, but staff at the surgical center were helpful and attentive, as was the surgical coordinator at MEC. He is a very skilled surgeon. My only reservation about the practice was the number of patients in the MEC waiting room on a few occasions. As dictated by Covid protocols, seating was separated, and disinfection carefully carried out, but I still felt there were just too many people in the room for a couple of my appointments.

As an artist, I was terrified at the thought of eye surgeries, but the staff at the office as well as the Surgisite team were wonderful. Recovery was easy. Post surgery, I had no discomfort or concerns.During my office visit he took time to explain me the procedure and was very patient in answering all the questions professionally. I had my LASIK procedure on October 24. Prior to the procedure, I coordinated a visit to see Dr. Rodman via the COA/refractive coordinator Joy Colameta. During this initial visit (September 30), my eyes were checked and we discussed whether I was eligible for LASIK. Once I was confirmed as a candidate (the next day), we scheduled the surgery for a few weeks later. I had a visit prior to the procedure, and then follow up visits after the procedure was done. While all visits with Dr. Rodman took place in Peabody, the procedure itself was done at Boston Laser in BrooklineI cannot recommend Dr. Rodman and his team enough. From the initial phone call to schedule an appointment, Joy was kind, helpful, and accommodating. She replied quickly to any questions I had. What I found especially noteworthy was that all of my appointments were scheduled immediately once the surgery date was picked. The clinic also called to ensure I was aware of each appointment a day prior. Before and after the surgery, Joy often asked how I was doing and whether she could assist with anything. Once she heard me walk through the door, she was there to ensure I was comfortable. She was an absolute delight to interact withDr. Rodman was a wonderful surgeon and had a great bedside manner. Prior to the surgery, he told me exactly what to expect (down to the minute detail) and walked me through the procedure. On the day of the surgery, he was calm, collected, and answered my questions and concerns carefully. I could tell he was invested not only in the outcome of the procedure, but also in putting me at ease in the present moment. The procedure itself was done efficiently, and I could already see immediate results the next day. He gave me his personal number, and told me that he would take my call at any time, day or night, if I had questions. I cannot recommend Dr. Rodman enoughI am now a little over a month post-LASIK. I have clear vision and my only qualm is not having done it sooner. I am extremely satisfied with the care, service, and results. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🙂

I have been a patient of Dr. Rodman’s for many years. I followed him from a prior practice to Microsurgical Eye Consultants and it is worth traveling the extra distance. He is a highly skilled professional, very knowledgeable on the latest surgical procedures, and always takes time to answer questions, find solutions, and go above and beyond to ensure his patients get the best care. I recently had cataract surgery and had lots of questions prior to surgery about the procedure, expected results, and the potential for any problems. Dr. Rodman took a lot of time to answer my questions and ensure I was comfortable with the answers. I have always received excellent care from him and he’s always found solutions for me. I have to say that for me cataract surgery was life changing. After cataract surgery, I am in awe of the improvement in my vision. I no longer need glasses except for “cheaters” for reading. I am very happy with the results and thankful to Dr. Rodman and the Microsurgical staff for their attentiveness and care given to me as a patient.All of the Microsurgical Eye staff is very professional, always greets patients, answer questions and gives their full attention to patients. It is a large practice, but always well organized and efficient. There is a lot of teamwork among the staff to ensure the patient experience is a positive one. Microsurgical was one of the best experiences I have had at an eye doctor to date. I have had multiple issues with my eyes over the years, and my previous eye doctor at another practice was dismissive and utterly rude. When I made the switch to Dr. Rodman at microsurgical my eyes have never been better. He was extremely helpful and informative, and never gave me any issues. He worked with me from April to July (multiple visits, sometimes as many as once a week!), and I never had any complaints. He worked with me and my schedule to set up appointments, and also introduced me to Dr. Kenrick to get back into contact usage. She was equally as helpful and most definitely lived up to Dr. Rodman’s review. The whole staff was amazing and worked to move patients quickly, without ever feeling rushed. I am so glad I made the switch to this practice and will continue to visit for my annual checks, as I highly recommend!
