Dr. Kim graduated with honors from University of Virginia with a degree in chemistry. He went on to do work at a research lab at Johns Hopkins Medicine before deciding to go to medical school. He earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester and his ophthalmology residency at Boston Medical Center where he was selected to serve as the chief resident during his final year. He then went on to complete a glaucoma fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in Manhattan, NY.
Dr. Kim’s professional interests include refractive cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and traditional glaucoma surgery.
Dr. Kim’s professional affiliations include the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Outside of work, Dr. Kim’s personal interests include traveling and spending time with his family.
