Edward A. Ryan, MD is a native of the Boston area, graduating with a degree in biology from Merrimack College. After graduating from Tufts University Medical School, he completed his residency in ophthalmology at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital in New York City and a fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Ryan, a board-certified ophthalmologist, has practiced in Winchester and Boston. He specializes in all aspects of vitreo-retinal problems, including retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration.

Dr. Ryan maintains the most up-to-date diagnostic equipment (OCT, Fluorescein Angiography) and treatment modalities (Argon and YAG Laser, intravitreal medications). He maintains convenient office hours by referral only.
